Designing a Modular Website

Cybereason is a leader in AI driven cybersecurity who provides a wide range of products, services, and platforms for companies to detect, prevent, and respond to a variety of cyber threats and attacks.

Background

In 2024, Cybereason was building a product called Unified Platform, and they were undergoing major changes to improve their marketshare in the U.S. This included new teams and offices, leaders, and a new website.

Deliverables

For the Cybereason website, I led the design, visual identity, and overall project execution.

With a small internal team managing the site, scalability and flexibility were key. The website needed to be modular, allowing marketers and developers to quickly build new landing pages. To achieve this, I designed a system of 32 custom-built sections and 120 interactive Figma components, resulting in 65 new mobile-responsive pages that also simplified information architecture.

Cybereason also wanted a new visual identity. This meant a brighter color palette, modern typography, and a more intuitive information architecture. Working closely with their marketing team, I played a key role in developing the design system and leading conversations with Sinc Design Studio to create a cohesive, refreshed look.

Where is it now?

The design files were delivered to Cybereason early 2025, and were put on indefinite pause due to change in management and C-Suite members.

Through an agreement between Cybereason and Tokyo Techies, we were given permission to display this work publicly on both company and personal portfolios.

Final thoughts

In this project, I was able to step out of my comfort zone in a number of directions. It was my first time leading conversations and expected outputs from external partners, presenting designs and ideas in high-stake meetings, and maintaining communication with C-Suite members, presidents, and division leads.

Each and every member involved in this project, which spanned 8 months, 4 time zones, and 56 individuals, were highly encouraging, understanding, and flexible. Without their support, I would not have had the courage to take charge. Thank you to all!
